First of all I have to tell you how much I love winter weddings! Maybe its because they are few and far between, but there is just something about white dresses and snow that gets me all excited. We had so much fun shooting this couple. Aileen works as a car designer so everything about this wedding had a creative spin.

Aileen and Greg wanted a real Detroit feel so we headed downtown to get some photos in front of the old Railway Station. It was a freezing cold winter day but everyone was really brave and stuck it out just long enough for us to get some shots.

When we got to the venue we were crazy enough to go on the rooftop to try and get some Detroit skyline shots before we lost all of the light. It was well worth it and we got up there just at the perfect time!

One of my favorite parts of this wedding was their one of a kind cake stand! It was a metal cut out of the Detroit skyline that Aileen had designed herself. It fitted perfectly with the modern Detroit theme.

So we ventured to Detroit to photograph this stunning wedding! What we especially loved about this wedding was not only just the picturesque setting but also the beautiful fall colors. Alison and Dan were a fun young couple to work with and we enjoyed every minute of photographing their big day. So take a look for yourself.

Another great aspect to this wedding was the military uniforms. Not only did they look great but they also brought along their own military traditions which added a nice twist to the day.
